Expo Hacks is a high school hackathon—a 12-hour programming event where students work in teams to make various software projects. When the hackathon starts, feel free to design, code, and build anything you want! You’ll also be able to check out the arts component of the event towards the end of the hackathon.

Participants: Individuals (must currently be in high school); Teams of 4 maximum;

Requirements

Art

Find a solution for the aspiring artists of today, or make a software project that is art related. The possibilities are endless. Release your inner creative side with this category.

Environment

The earth is getting warmer, and humans are contributing to climate change, are you ready to tackle this difficult problem? Deforestation, droughts, floods and extreme weather events are endangering the lives of our most vulnerable. Make something that helps us leave a better planet for our children.

Social Impact

Release your inner activist. Do you want our leaders to stay accountable to the people? Are you dissatisfied with the current state of things? Do you want your voice to leave a bigger impact on those who make decisions that affect all of us? If so, you might be interested in making a project related to social impact.
